"Double Dragon: The Movie"

Double Dragon video games have sold in excess of 5.5 million units worldwide, with retail sales supassing $350 million.
Based on the popular video game, "Double Dragon: The Movie" is a roller-coaster ride throuhgh a dysfunctional metropolis that two brothers must try to change. It's a strong cast headlined by Robert Patrick, Mark Dacascos, Scott Wolf, Julia Nickson and Alyssa Milano.

写真よりも文字の方が圧倒的に多いですね。でもさすが映画雑誌だけあって、プロダクションの紹介やら、見どころなど、きちんと映画の紹介がされています。

撮影は1993年6月1日より、Ohio州Clevelandで始まり、その後拠点をロスに移したそうです。
あと、Hollywood River 爆発炎上シーンは９台のカメラによって撮影された当時大掛かりなものだったとか。結構まじめな紹介内容です。

マークの言葉もありましたので、ピックアップ。

Dacascos is quick to point out,. however, that "Double Dragon" is not a martial arts film. "The focal point isn't the martial arts," he explained, "but the relationship between the two brothers and how they deal with their life in New Angeles in the year 2007. The comedy comes from the brothers being vastly different -- it's like the young version of "The Odd Couple."


By the end of the film, stoic Jimmy and brash Billy have become more alike. "Jimmy definitely learns how to appreciate the goofiness and funnier moment," says Dacascos, "and I think Scott's going for the same thing in Billy, so we meet in the middle".


Mark Dacascos offers and optimistic view: "People have the power to change, just as the character did, and to learn that life is fragile. You can make the world change if people get together and put their enegies into one focal point."

そしてまた事実なのか勘違いなのか、さらなるマーク出演作品が載っていました...
"Ninja Academy"だそうで...。本当なのでしょうか（;^^）でも、出てるとしても恐らくAngel Town程度の出番のと思われます。今度購入してみましょう（笑）
