Jake Peterson (Charlie Sheen) is a renegade cop who thrives on the adrenaline rush of danger and fear, and is no more at home than when the bullets start flying, with his insatiable quest for a piece of the action causing him to have a callous disregard for those 'nearest and dearest' to him all but alienating even his closest family. The biggest and baddest criminals come and go as they fall victim to Jake Peterson's own brand of justice, and the body count rises in spectacular fashion. L.Aのロックグループ「POISON」のヴォーカリスト・Bret Michaels監督作品。彼自身も潜入刑事役として出演している。 主役はCharlie Sheen。Martin Sheenとの親子共演が目玉であるが、実際に役の上でも親子を演じている。映画の中の彼等親子は、アメリカ人の理想とする親子関係なのかも知れない。その美化した部分があるゆえか、ハリウッド作品であるためか、適度に洗練されている作品ではあるが、もう少しブルース色の強いドロ臭さがあっても良かったかも知れないと思う。大物俳優を使っても、ストーリー自体それほど目新しくはないためB+級にとどまってしまっている。少し残念。 悪役のTina Nguyenはワイルドでそこそこ魅力的であったが、主役級以外のキャストにはあまり特出した魅力のあるキャラクターはいなかったように思える。 Mark's Role: Jakeの相棒、Paul役。相棒というより女房役と言った方が正解か。熱血漢Jakeを時にたしなめるよき理解者であり、よき相談役である。人間的にも信頼が厚く、Jakeの妻にも夫より信用されてる好青年、当然誰からも可愛がられている。恐らく20代の設定であろう。 物腰が柔らかいが、ここぞという時は力を発揮する頼もしい人物。マークの脇役の中でも人気の高いキャラクターである。恋愛を長もちさせる秘訣についてのアドバイスから判断しても、相当な誠実さが伺える。 ヒゲをたくわえ、皮ジャンにTシャツジーンズを着用。 (Editor's Roomに加筆修正）
